Established in 1976, Rust Automation & Controls, Inc. is the leading
provider of industrial solutions for process and factory automation
in the Rocky Mountain region. The company serves a wide range of industries,
including mining, petroleum, chemical processing, transportation,
food and beverage, nutritional supplements, water and wastewater,
manufacturing and OEMs.
Rust Automation & Controls specializes in valve automation and
instrumentation for process measurement and control. The company represents
a broad range of world-class manufacturers, including Ashcroft, Foxboro,
Mettler-Toledo, Samson and Westlock. Independently owned and operated,
Rust Automation & Controls is headquartered in Salt Lake City,
Utah, with sales and service centers in Denver, Colorado as well as
Boise and Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Our Focus
Our main focus at Rust Automation & Controls is to offer quality
products and provide quality service by means of a sales and support
staff that is educated, experienced, friendly and motivated. Our application
engineers will work with you to design custom solutions for your process
control and factory automation needs. Our special area of expertise
is furnishing process instrumentation and valve automation services.
These services include an emphasis in quarter-turn valve actuation,
a complete line of manual and automatic control valves, flow and level
measurement, pressure and temperature sensors, and a wide variety
of additional services to address the needs that may arise from our
broad customer base.
Our History
Since our beginning, company founder and president M. Dale Rust has
had hands-on management of the Rust companies. In 1976, Dale founded
Rust Instrumentation & Controls after many years of experience
in chemical plant and refinery process control systems. In 1987, Dale
founded Rust Automation Equipment and in 1995, acquired Industrial
Instruments, Inc. Today our instrumentation and automation companies
are combined as Rust Automation & Controls, Inc., giving our customers
access to all of our products and services through one single company.
Industrial Instruments exists as a separate service company, operating
the largest instrumentation and repair center in the Intermountain
West. Factory-authorized by many leading instrument manufacturers,
Industrial Instruments also provides complete instrument calibration
services in the region's only ISO 9002-certified laboratory.
After more than 25 years in the instrumentation and control business,
Dale has developed a keen sense for what customers need most: quality
products, quality service and support from quality people.
