TRAINING & EDUCATION
At Rust, training and customer education is an integral part of the
successful implementation of every product and solution we provide.
That's why our customer training courses are designed to give your
personnel the knowledge they need to run your operation effectively,
saving you down-time and money. Employing our own sales engineers
as well as experts from the manufacturers we represent, we offer classes
from product selection, installation and operation to process control
basics and details.
For your convenience, we offer three different training options:
Training Center
At our training center in Salt Lake City, your operators, engineers
and maintenance personnel can attend seminars and special training
courses from technician-level maintenance to process control theory
and operations. Off site training at our facility allows students
to focus on learning without the interruption of their day-to-day
work activities.
On Site
Customers can also arrange for onsite training tailored to your
special needs, facilitated by Rust engineers. We can design and
teach courses to match your specific process control or automation
application.
Factory
On a national level, Rust participates in seminars and other training
events organized by the suppliers of the world-class products we
sell.

Initializing, Configuring and Setup
Valve/Instrument Technician Course
Hands on training teaches installation,
troubleshooting, parts
replacement and calibration of control
valves, actuators, positioners
and controllers.
Process Control and Application
Fundamentals of process control
Review terminology, ISA and SAMA standards
and controller
fundamentals including controller
tuning. Also review temperature,
level and flow control components.
